The Perpetual Storage vault — home to Granite Cloud — was built in 1968 in a solid granite mountain along Utah’s Wasatch Front. The vault exceeds rigid U.S. Department of Defense requirements for the proper protection of critical and classified records.

The vault is one of the world’s most trusted off-site storage facilities where irreplaceable digital records are stored in a climate controlled, paper-free and maximum security environment.

Unlike other BaaS providers, Granite Cloud provides digital storage in a facility with the world’s highest level of protection and preservation. Choosing Granite Cloud is a strategic business decision that helps protect your liability and reputation.

In the backup and recovery industry there’s a well-known 3-2-1 paradigm…

Granite Cloud 3-2-1 graphic

Granite Cloud is what we call a 1+ off-site backup and storage facility. It’s the best-of-breed in the industry.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Veeam Availability Suite v8, Veeam Backup & Replication v8 or Veeam Backup Essentials v8 running in your data center
  2. Recommend bandwidth: 1Mbs for each 300 GB of data
  3. One usable public IP for outbound communication

Granite Cloud is different from other backup solutions because of:

  1. The physical location of the cloud backup — inside a vault encased in a solid granite mountain and safe from natural and man-made disasters
  2. The potential to have both cloud and physical data sets stored together*
  3. Superior client service, and
  4. The facility’s maximum security.

The location differentiates Granite Cloud as a ‘1+’ in the ‘3-2-1’ backup paradigm because it’s free from potential floods, earthquakes and fires.

Our cloud within the mountain ensures backup and recovery data is completely safe and always accessible.

The digital infrastructure at the vault provides a best-of-breed platform with engineers on-site to provide client service at any time.

With redundant, diversely routed fiber internet service providers, as well as redundant power and communication lines, Granite Cloud is always on and constantly delivers extreme protection for your irreplaceable data.
